Kid, You will move the Mountains! By: Dr. Seuss

Oh! The Places You Will Go! By: Dr. Seuss
This is my favorite children's book.
I am working in an International school. People's coming and going is the most common thing happening in our school. Therefore, I read this story to the children on the last day of school day every year. It is a farewell book to send your all the best wishes to the children who are going to start new adventures in great new places and also encourage children to be brave to face the difficulties and challenges in the future.

  1. Hi Sissi,
I love that you read this to your students on the last day of school. It is such a great book that children at an international school could probably relate to very easily. It gives them comfort on exploring what comes next.

  2. Sissi, what a perfect story to share with children as they end their school year. There are such positive thoughts contained throughout. And yes, they can, indeed, move mountains!
I use this story when my "big" kids complete their 40-hour Early Childhood training, right before they begin to look for jobs. I was, also, given a very special copy of this book when I left my classroom to form my own company; it was given to me by a very special friend who recently passed away. However, Sissi, knowing that he cared enough to share this story meant the world to me.
For many reasons, this story is close to my heart.
